Frequently asked questions
How do I order?
Choose a wallpaper, select the material, enter your wall measurements and add it to your bag. Payment, discounts, shipping and taxes are finalized securely at Shopify checkout.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. A true-to-material sample is $8, or you can choose any three designs for $20. The chosen design names travel into Shopify checkout. Reply to the sample order email with the order number before buying the full wall and Alex will send a one-use $8 credit code.
How do I know how much wallpaper I need?
Use the wall calculator. It shows area, panels, seams and waste. Final specifications are confirmed against the selected design and material before production.
Should I deduct doors and windows?
Usually not. Installers often hang full-height drops and trim around openings. Deducting can leave the order short when seams fall awkwardly.
Shipping & production
Wallpaper is printed to order in 7 business days after your measurements are confirmed. Alex personally reviews your measurements before printing. Every wallpaper order includes an installation guide.
Orders ship from Oregon, and typical delivery is 2 days after dispatch. Tracking is emailed when the order ships; available shipping methods, taxes and the final total appear at Shopify checkout.
Press Esc ships internationally. Customs duties, taxes or import fees may be charged by the destination country and are the customer’s responsibility. If your project has a firm installation date, ask the studio before ordering.
Samples: Free US shipping on wallpaper samples, including the three-sample set. Delivery options are confirmed at checkout. Tracking is emailed after dispatch. Final sample dimensions are confirmed by the studio before printing.
Returns
Custom-sized wallpaper is final sale, but verified print defects or production errors are remade. Standard, unused products may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original condition and packaging.
Cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of ordering; after production begins, cancellation may no longer be possible. Inspect your delivery promptly and contact the studio as soon as possible if it is damaged, defective or incorrect. Approved refunds return to the original payment method; your bank may need additional processing time.
Complimentary installation
Wallpaper installation is temporarily paused while we update our endorsement. This includes complimentary and paid installation. See the current installation update or contact Alex about an existing project.
When installation resumes, approved local Southern Oregon wallpaper projects that we can photograph or film may include complimentary standard installation. Installation is performed on the existing wall surface as presented.
Press Esc has a few years of hands-on wallpaper installation experience and works through Ethic Build; we do not claim decades of installation experience. The local program helps us build our installed-room portfolio and, with each customer’s permission, photograph completed Press Esc projects.
Complimentary installation does not include wall repair, sanding, skim coating, drywall finishing, texture removal, painting, extensive adhesive removal, mold or moisture remediation, or other surface preparation. Existing wall texture, imperfections, patches, unevenness or defects may remain visible through the finished wallcovering.
